Jennifer also brings 25+ years experience from the pharmaceutical industry complimenting the medicinal cannabis world. She is a trained Anesthesiologist and Pain Management Physician and has worked in Critical Care, and Operating rooms for over twenty years. When first presented with using Cannabis as a medical option for pain she was very skeptical. After being trained and mentored, plus her reading and research, she started working in the area of Cannabinoid Medicine. Looking for options besides opioids and complication inducing medicine ie. anti-inflammatories she has found cannabinoid therapy an important and even life changing therapy for many of her patients. Her recent areas of study and experience include chronic pain, and Mental Health, Gastrointestinal, Palliative/Oncologic, and occasional paediatric and neurological conditions.
Dr Amy, MD,BSc, (MED) studied at Dalhousie University, FRPC Royal College Anesthesia and her Residency at University of Ottawa. Her studies include rheumatology, psychiatry, acupuncture, herbology, concussion management, and personalized topical cream formulations.
