The Founders
Jennifer Silvestri
Chief Operating Officer, Accredited Cannabis Educator, Clinic Manager
Jennifer Silvestri Co-Founder and CEO at Ajja Medical Inc. is an experienced Cannabis Educator and Clinic Manager. Her vision in medical cannabis began at Calm the World Inc. where she founded her consulting business in cannabis. Jennifer's extensive knowledge of cannabinoids comes from years of clinic practice and private consultation services. Her plenitude of knowledge was acquired from her studies at Durham College, The Natural Wellness Academy, Colorado Culinary, and Apothecary study. Jennifer currently continues her studies at McMaster University and through her collaborations with Licensed Producers across Canada. In addition Jennifer Co-Founded, The World Cannabis Academy Inc. where she provides mentorship and co-creates interactive education courses for those looking to learn more about cannabis. Jennifer brings over twenty five years experience from her career in the pharmaceutical industry which compliments the uses of cannabis and creating new and innovative formulations. She is an accomplished fitness trainer and shares her inspirational gifts keeping patients focused and enables them to maintain daily, healthy living.
Dr Amy M. Thiele, Medical Director, MD. FRCPS Canadian Academy of Pain Management
Dr. Amy Thiele is our Medical Director at World Cannabis Academy. She is a trained Anesthesiologist and Pain Management Physician and has worked in Critical Care, and Operating rooms for over twenty years. When first presented with using Cannabis as a medical option for pain she was very skeptical. After being trained and mentored, plus her reading and research, she started working in the area of Cannabinoid Medicine. Looking for options besides opioids and complication inducing medicine ie. anti-inflammatories she has found cannabinoid therapy an important and even life changing therapy for many of her patients. Her recent areas of study and experience include chronic pain, and Mental Health, Gastrointestinal, Palliative/Oncologic, and occasional paediatric and neurological conditions.
Dr Amy, MD,BSc, (MED) studied at Dalhousie University, FRPC Royal College Anesthesia and her Residency at University of Ottawa. Her studies include rheumatology, psychiatry, acupuncture, herbology, concussion management, and personalized topical cream formulations.
